Sevakattu (rooster Duel) is one of the famous and traditional sport arranged during Pongal festival in few villages in Karur district of Tamilnadu.
Betting the duel is an offence. people here participate in friendly matches where winner takes the wounded or dead roosters as prize.
There are breeds named as sevalai, kaagam, kerri, mayil, noolan, valour, paedu. People give nuts,cereals and healthy nutritional foods as a diet.
